While the video is light and funny, it carries a serious message. One, don’t park on your neighbour’s yards (you’ll get a fine!), two, it is extremely important to look after your neighbours in general, and in It’s inexcusable to harm your neighbours when attending the Mosque, not only are your jeopardising your own prayers but you are also harming the stability of the Mosque in the community.

Understanding and preparing for events such as Jumu‘ah which Muslims are expected to come in mass to attend and take advantage of its incredible rewards and blessings will allow you to also participate to the fullest extent without committing parking violations or any other harm towards your neighbours. Islam places such a big emphasis on the manner and timing of our arrival to Jumu‘ah, and we should pay the same respect to it.

Prophet Muhammed ﷺ, (Peace and blessings be upon him) said: “By Allah, he is not a believer! By Allah, he is not a believer! By Allah, he is not a believer.’’ It was asked, “Who is that, O Messenger of Allah?’’ He said, “One whose neighbour does not feel safe from his evil”
